Environmental StressTesting Critical Electronics
Electro-Mechanical Parts and Materials in Vehicles
Thermal inducing of electronic devices is critical and automotive components manufacturers have the need to improve product quality and reliability. All types of transportation vehicles have higher system environmental stress testing requirements. Car manufacturers today are faced with increasing challenges with environmental stress conditions.
Reliability decreases exponentially in electronic components due to heat problems. ThermalAir series of thermal shock & thermal inducing systems helps manufacturers design ICs, chips, and PCBs for superior thermal performance.

Test Engineers can use ThermalAir thermal inducing equipment and our temperature test chambers to bring their automotive components to temperature from -40°C to +125°C. Our systems generate a hot and cold thermal air stream directly on the parts that require thermal testing. Our small thermal test chambers used in combination with the ThermalAir TA-5000 product have a temperature range from -100°C to +225°C without the use of LN2 or Co2.

As temperature of an electronic component rises, the heat loss increases. Temperatures may be high enough to significantly decrease the life of automotive components, parts, and sensors, causing devices to fail. Thermal management and temperature cycling test solutions are critical to ensure product reliability in automotive electronics and materials.
TA-5000 Thermal Testing Systems helps engineers design reliable automotive components to withstand today’s increasing environmental stress conditions.
OEM Automotive Components
Electronics continue to infiltrate all aspects of automotive design as consumer demand for safety, performance, fuel efficiency, and reliability continues to grow. Automotive Electronic design incorporates semiconductor components, electronic sensors, and sub-systems. Automobiles have over 50 sensors, switches and other electronic controls. These components require thermal shock test, temperature conditioning, and fast temperature cycling at ranges -40C to +125C and beyond.
Environmental Stress Screening of automotive electronic and non-electronic components, sensors, and parts is essential in the design and manufacturing of automobiles. The ThermalAir TA-5000 series of thermal inducing systems and thermal shock test chambers provide temperature test capabilities for engineers, allowing you to bring temperature to the test location without the need for large, walk-in environmental stress testing chambers.
MPI Thermal thermal inducing equipment is portable and can easily be moved from one test station to another. Automotive Component manufacturers can use our ThermalAir TA-5000 system to quickly bring their parts to temperature right at the test location. Temperature cycling, thermal shock and other environmental stress testing is why MPI Thermal systems are part of the manufacturing temperature test process.
This is why the MPI Thermal TA-5000 Series of ThermalAir temperature products are part of the test.
